This product is a Crystal Sculpture from the Voyage National Program, and is part of the There Are Worlds to Explore Series.


A large crystal sculpture containing all 25 worlds found in the Voyage model Solar System exhibition permanently installed on the National Mall in Washington, DC, and in communities across the U.S. Eight planets, two dwarf planets, and 15 moons are laser-sculpted in 3D inside solid crystal at one 10-billionth actual size, exactly as they appear in the Voyage exhibition. 25 Worlds of the Solar System
at One 10-Billionth Actual Size

This large, exquisite crystal block reproduces all 25 worlds found in the Voyage model Solar System exhibition at exactly one 10-billionth actual size. Eight planets, two dwarf planets, and 15 moons are laser-sculpted in 3D inside the solid crystal block, and are presented gracefully, and in size order, against the edge of the Sun. The highly accurate model worlds include the oblateness of Jupiter and Saturn, the orientations in space of the planetary ring systems, and the ring structure. It is interesting to note that the moons Ganymede and Titan are larger than the planet Mercury, that 4 moons are larger than the dwarf planet Eris, and five moons are larger than the dwarf planet Pluto. Lighted Base: a lighted base is highly recommended for spectacular display of the art contained in the crystal. LRB120 crystal should be displayed with the optional Large Light Base, which is powered with a 120-v power cord.

Warranty: There is no warranty on the crystal. There is a 30-day warranty on the electrical system for the lighted base. Purchaser is responsible for shipping costs for the return of a defective lighted base. Store Galactica will cover shipping of a new lighted base back to purchaser. All product is carefully inspected and carefully packaged before shipping. Damage in transit is the responsibility of the shipper. 

Customizing: you can add laser-burned custom text, and/or a web URL in the crystal for an added set up fee.
